![]() Creighton basketball sophomore Doug McDermott has been named a first-team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association. He is Creighton's first player to be named first-team All-American by the USBWA since it began handing out the honors in 1957.
![]() For the first time since 2007, the MVC has two teams competing in the NCAA Tournament as Creighton (AQ) and Wichita State (at-large) will represent the league. Illinois State and UNI are in the NIT, while Drake (CIT), Indiana State (CIT) and Evansville (CBI) also earned post-season berths.
![]() Creighton basketball standout Doug McDermott is one of 15 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award. The Ames, Iowa, product is Creighton's first Wooden Award finalist since Kyle Korver in 2002-03.
